Why did you choose the name "Inquisitive Traveler Vacations" for your business?
My travel niche, those I wish to plan/book travel experiences for, are INQUISITIVE TRAVELERS:
"Inclined to investiate; eager for knowledge."
If this is you, I can assist you because:
- As a historian, I am a trained researcher.
- As an experienced traveler, I can help you avoid common mistakes.
You say you cater to "cultural travelers." What is a CULTURAL TRAVELER?
Cultural travelers are all about exploring and experiencing a destination's people, customs, traditions; immersing themselves. Learning about the history and lifestyle of the people who live there. It's not just about sightseeing, it's about understanding the place you are visiting.
Cultural Travel sounds interesting, but how does one prepare for such a vacation?
Before you go on your trip, I suggest you do some reading about your destination(s) so that when you arrive, you have some sense of where you are and the type of people you will be meeting. This is by no means meant to diminish the "WOW" factor of visiting a new place. On the contrary, it enhances your experience. And the locals will appreciate that you took the time to learn a bit about them before your arrival.
As part of my travel-planning service, I will provide you with some information to help you prepare for your adventure.
On your end, what does researching a trip entail?
In a nutshell: I research Lodging, Activities, Transportation, any special requests; while always searching for some unique activity to add to the Itinerary. With your input, and my experience, I look for accommodations and activities that suit your tastes and budget. This requires combing through numerous resources to create your memorable trip.
What travel options are available?
While I specialize in custom trips: Road Trips, Weekend Getaways, overseas trips, etc., I can assist you with other types of travel, too. Let me do the research on the best Cruise or Safari, All-Inclusive Resort, Biking or Hiking Adventures that are available.
The thought of planning a trip can be daunting, and takes time. Whatever kind of travel you are interested in. . . . .I can help you.
